Put the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Attach the Flat Beater to the stand mixer. Put the Speed Control Lever to 2. Mix dry ingredients until combined.

Add the butter, vanilla extract, egg and egg yolk. Mix on speed 2 for 2 minutes. Put the Speed Control Lever to 4 and mix for another minute.
Step 4
Add chocolate chips and mix on speed 1 for 30 seconds until just incorporated.

Let the dough cool in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 160°C.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Take chunks of dough, form them into balls and put them on the parchment paper.
Step 7
Bake for about 15 minutes, the cookies should be light in colour and gooey in the middle. Rest on the baking tray until the cookies harden.
